OSTREA - Coffee Table
Flow State Series
The table’s form is modeled after the Ostrea Edulis, a european oyster with a flat, fan shape. The principles of meditation worked as a starting point for this series. Design elements, such as repetition, fluid lines and organic forms, work to create a harmonious composition; intended to invite mindfulness and calm.
Field notes: Contrast plays an important role in this design. The repeating vertical dowels ground the abstract and organic shapes within the work.

Materials: African mahogany (hardwood), North American white ash (hardwood)
