The images within this photographic collage were taken in the artist’s twenties at an apartment on Robe St. in Melbourne, Australia. Ten years later they were discovered and incorporated into this work, to explore how we
reconstruct memories. The wallhanging features views from the apartment towards an oceanside esplanade and depicts an interplay of palms, architecture and gritty city scenes. The ghosted images speaks to the
inaccuracy or dream-like nature of a recollection.

Field notes:
The bronze mirror adds a feeling of nostalgia and interacts with light to create a sense of warmth.
